Di tengah kekacauan ini, Asosiasi Industri Sepeda Motor Listrik Indonesia (AISMOLI) berteriak lantang. Ketua AISMOLI, Budi Setiyadi, dalam siaran resminya, Jumat (4/4/2025) menegaskan, “Ini bukan saatnya lengah! Jika kebijakan TKDN (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri) tidak diperketat, industri lokal akan tenggelam oleh produk impor murah.” Seruannya jelas: perkuat regulasi, kawal implementasi TKDN, dan ciptakan ekosistem yang pro-produsen lokal.
Kebijakan TKDN, yang sering dianggap sebagai solusi instan, ternyata menyimpan kompleksitas tersendiri. Di satu sisi, aturan ini bisa memaksa produsen global berinvestasi di Indonesia. Di sisi lain, pengawasan yang lemah berisiko membuat TKDN hanya menjadi stempel formalitas, sementara komponen kunci tetap diimpor. AISMOLI menuntut audit ketat dan sanksi tegas bagi pelanggar, bukan sekadar aturan di atas kertas.
Kini, Indonesia berada di persimpangan jalan. Tantangan ini bisa menjadi momentum emas jika Indonesia mampu memanfaatkan tekanan global untuk mempercepat penguasaan teknologi baterai dan komponen kritis, menciptakan insentif bagi riset dan produksi lokal, serta membangun aliansi strategis dengan negara-negara produsen bahan baku EV (seperti nikel). Jika berhasil, krisis ini justru bisa melambungkan Indonesia sebagai pemain kunci EV global. Namun, jika gagal, bersiaplah menjadi tong sampah produk-produk impor yang kalah di pasar Amerika Serikat.
